Charity Support

Best Friend Books has ammended it’s charity support programme. The Main Event and Mini-Fundraiser schemes have now been abolished, and have been replaced with a Charity of The Month. 50% of each months profits from our online marketplace will automatically be donated to that month’s charity. For the remainder of April, this charity will be The Scout Association and Girl Guiding UK.

Additional ways in which Best Friend Books aims to support it’s Charity of The Month include:

  • Collection tins at events
  • Charity fairs
  • Recycling programmes

Best Friend Books is running an online Children’s Gift Sale in support of the Scout Association and GirlGuiding UK. Up until Sunday 26th February, 50% of the profits from all qualifying sales will be split between the two organisations.

In order to make your purchase qualify, simply visit the online marketplace using the link at the top of this post and click the button at the bottom of the page.

The Scout Association and Girl Guiding UK are the two largest uniformed youth organisations in the UK. Scouts is open to boys and girl between the ages of 6 and 25, while Guides is aimed at girls from 5 to 26.

Day 4 :: Latin America & the Caribbean

Best Friend Books is continuing it’s trip around the world with a visit to Latin America and the Caribbean. Over the next couple of weeks we will sample some of the region’s many highlights, from Reggae music to life in the Amazon.

The Main Event Fair :: The Cara Rose Trust

On Saturday 4th February Best Friend Books held it’s first charity table top sale, in support of The Cara Rose Trust. The event was held at the Sale Central Scout Hut at Walton Park in Sale, with stallholders representing Scentsy, Usborne Books, Forever Living and The Body Shop. A total of £29.50 was raised for the charity. Another event is now being considered for some time in the near future.
